Your story matters. Tell it your way. 

I started Leeway Media to empower people who had inspiring stories but didn't know how to share them. As a television journalist who has worked for CBS, FOX and local affiliates, I was pitched thousands of stories a year by well-meaning people with good intentions. It didn't matter if I was in Dallas, Honolulu, or San Francisco, there was always a common theme. The ones who ended up in the spotlight always had two things in common: a good story and they knew how to tell it. 

Not everyone is interested in being on the news. A lot of people just want to get over their fear of public speaking, learn to enjoy speaking extemporaneously to advance both their career and improve their social lives. To do this requires authenticity...and this may sound odd, but a lot of people need practice learning to be themselves in how they present and project.  We're taught that we should sound or speak a certain way but that makes everyone uncomfortable. It makes you nervous. Makes the audience squirm.  

As someone who spent 20 years on camera as an anchor and reporter, I have been there. I am living proof that with practice and the confidence that comes with it, nerves can be managed and even become an asset. 

I understand that a personal media coach is just not in the budget for a lot of people. That's why I offer webinars and seminars, either at no cost or for a nominal fee to cover the cost of materials. It is important to me to see the media and the powerful spotlight it can provide be accessible to everyone.
